We are dedicated to raising funds to support
spay & neuter to end cat overpopulation and
the euthanization of healthy animals in shelters.
Individually and collectively, our combined efforts
will make a difference in creating
a NO KILL NATION by 2025.
In a Trap-Neuter-Return program, community cats are humanely trapped, spayed/neutered by a veterinarian, vaccinated, eartipped (the universal sign that a community cat has been neutered) and then returned to their outdoor home. Also referred to as TNVR Tap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return.
The word RETURN is important since the cats are returned to their outdoor home and not just released anywhere. Our cats are vaccinated for rabies and distemper.
TNR is about:
Each year over 500,000 cats die in shelters across the nation and TNR is a vital program to reduce this number. Community cats contribute 80% of the kittens born in the U.S. each year (HSUS).
Provide TNR training and resources for spay/neuter to reduce cat overpopulation and prevent healthy cats from being euthanized in shelters.
Volunteers, TNR trappers and fosters helped turn our local
South Carolina animal shelter NO-KILL in 2015.
We provide resources to low income counties to reduce the shelter intake rate. We have a waitlist of 100+ cats needing spay/neuter in Robeson County, NC.
